A Clowder of Cats
Fun Cat Facts: A clowder is a group of cats. A male cat is called a tom or a gib while a female is referred to as a molly or queen (these names allude to the cat's reproduction status). Cats belong to the family Felid, which is a group of mammals that share a common ancestor. In addition to the domestic cat, Felids include lions, tigers, cougars and more. There are seven species of domestic cats. Despite popular belief, many cats love the water; what they don't like is being dunked in it by humans--after all, cats like to live life on their own terms.
